Welcome. My name is Amy Pappas. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a passionate and collaborative child, adolescent, and family therapist.

Starting therapy can be daunting and overwhelming. It‘s my goal to make it an easy and comfortable transition by employing a team approach, including in the process the child and/or adolescent/young adult, family, and community resources. We will all work together to best address the presenting challenge.

My specialty is working with children, adolescents, and young adults with mood disorders and adjustment challenges in the home, school, or community, specifically adolescent girls and their families. Past experiences include working as a social worker at public, private, and therapeutic schools and leading groups on a variety of topics including girls groups, self-esteem, and social skills. I have over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families within a variety of therapeutic settings.

My passion is helping children, adolescents, and young adults take ownership of their behavior and make changes that will benefit them in all areas of their lives. I am a strengths-based, solution-focused therapist, using a wide variety of modalities to help my clients succeed.

I received my Master of Social Work degree from New York University and a Type 73 Certificate from Loyola University and have been licensed since 2005. I encourage you to get in touch with me to learn more about my approach and specialties.
