About Amy Pappas, LCSW

I’m Amy Pappas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in supporting women through life transitions, including pregnancy, postpartum, mood and anxiety concerns, relational challenges, and the emotional shifts that come with all of the above.

Life transitions can feel disorienting, even when they’re expected or deeply wanted.

You might find yourself feeling anxious, stretched thin, unsure of yourself, or wondering why something that “should” feel exciting or meaningful also feels overwhelming. Transitions often bring shifts in identity, relationships, and how you experience yourself—and it can take time and support to find your footing again. For many women, one of the most profound of these transitions is becoming a mother.

If you’re in pregnancy, postpartum, or the early years of motherhood and feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or not quite like yourself, you’re not alone. This phase can bring so much love and also exhaustion, self-doubt, and a sense that everything has shifted all at once.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with children, teens, and families across a variety of settings. That experience continues to inform my work today, giving me a deeper understanding of the family system, parent-child relationships, and the emotional load that many mothers carry. I am also currently in the process of obtaining my PMH-C certification.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re feeling, develop tools that fit your real life, and help you feel more steady and connected - both within yourself and in your relationships.
