Hi, my name is Marion Greenwood. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I love working collaboratively with children, young adults and families!  I have been a therapist and school social worker for over 12 years. My background includes working with children, teens, families and parents in K-12 school, hospital and outpatient settings.  I have also worked with adult clients regarding emerging adulthood stress and new parent concerns. I have specialized clinical training in Play Therapy, Social Thinking practices and Autism Spectrum Disorders. 

 

I am passionate about helping my clients meet their goals, which we will collaboratively create and work on together. I have many tools and ideas that will facilitate meaningful and effective growth.  Through our work together, we can unravel what may seem to feel hopeless or get in your way. We will create a clear direction of where you want to go.

I consult with parents, teachers and therapists to best support children and families. My experience includes working with individuals who have symptoms of anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, familial discord and emotional dysregulation. I have an extensive background in working with children and adolescents who demonstrate disruptive behavior at home and/or in the classroom, and have worked with a wide variety of developmental disabilities including speech disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder and sensory processing disorders.

I completed my Social Work graduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and specialized in schools, earning an Illinois Pupil Personnel Services Type 73 Certificate in 2010.  I hold a certificate in Autism Studies from the University of California Davis, I studied Play Therapy at the University of California San Diego and I am a Social Thinking certified interventionist for clients with ASD, OCD, ADHD, Social Anxiety and Panic Disorders.
