Katie Weber, LSW

 

Taking the first initial step on the journey to self-discovery can be both exciting and scary. I believe in understanding a client where they’re at in their journey and taking the time to create a safe space where clients can be their most authentic self. I’d like to introduce myself; my name is Katie Weber, and I am privileged and blessed to be able to walk alongside individuals on their journey to healing and growth. I am currently a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the states of Illinois and Tennessee. I have a deep appreciation for hearing every client’s story and my passion includes working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

 

I graduated with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (Nashville Campus) in 2018. I began my social work career working directly with adolescent and adult clients struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, and familial issues in both a residential and outpatient setting. Aside from treating clients, involving families in the treatment process more often than not proved to be a key component to a successful recovery. My past internship experiences include working at both public and therapeutic schools with elementary to high school students dealing with issues ranging from self-esteem to emotion regulation. I use an eclectic approach which integrates Person Centered Therapy with facets of Strengths-Based Practice and Mindfulness  and skills work. I strive to create a safe therapeutic alliance where clients can be their authentic selves and help them unlock their true potential.
